Deep Phyto Peel

The Deep Phyto Peel is a medium strength peel which contains the active ingredients of Spongilla, glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid, This causes physical skin peeling for up to 10 days in order to brighten and regenerates new skin cells to give a healthy glow.

The Deep Phyto peel comes with a complimentary 35-minute oxygen treatment. This brightens, plumps & hydrates the skin to give a healthy glow. Once the client’s skin stops peeling, they will return for their oxygen treatment. The Oxygen treatment is packed with vitamins A, C & E, goji berries and perfluorodecalin. Perfluorodecalin drives oxygen into the skin to accelerate skin cell renewal; goji berries are an antioxidant which helps to brighten the skin.

Clients have seen significant improvements after one week of the first initial peel. Depending on your concerns you may require more than 1 session for desirable results.

Pre-care

You must not have:

  • Active cold sores
  • Bruises/ Cuts/wounds
  • Skin abrasions
  • On antibiotics for a bacterial skin infection

10 days before

  • Discontinue the use of Retinoids/ retinols
  • Discontinue topical gels such as benzyl peroxide
  • Laser/ electrolysis / Radio frequency
  • Depilatory creams, waxing or threading


14 days before

  • No active sunbathing or sunbed use.
Aftercare
  • Do not wet your the skin for 72 hours after to allow products to penetrate further into the skin.
  • Do not touch your skin as bacteria can enter.
  • No pulling or picking of peeling skin as this can cause damage to your skin.
  • After 24- 72 hours, only use water or the enzyme cleansing gel to wash the area for 7 – 10 days.
  • You can use the Skinbiotics enzyme cleanser after the period specified - You cannot use any other products other than this specific cleanser and the recommended spf – (Skinbiotics spf or La Roche matte spf gel) . The use of other cleansers or sunscreens will prevent peeling
  • A wet flannel can be used to gently dab the skin to provide relief (after 24 hours only)
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 2-3 weeks
  • Oil free SPF30 to be applied at all times when outdoors or if working near a window indoors.
  • No products on the skin for 7 days or until peeling stops.
  • Wait 10 days from the day of the peel to apply any products

Does it hurt?

The Deep Phyto peeling is a slightly uncomfortable peel, heat is produced when the blood cells rush to the surface , this starts the process of repairing the skin’s barrier. A fan is provided to reduce any discomfort.
Can I exercise afterwards?

Yes, you can exercise 24 hours after the treatment
When will I start peeling?

Peeling starts on the 3rd - 5th day after the treatment
How long will I peel for?

Peeling can last from 5-14 days. This differs from each individual.
